This Privacy Policy explains how Stevenage Chiropractic Clinic ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit www.stevenage-chiropractic-clinic.co.uk (the "Site"), contact us, or pay for an appointment online.

Device Information. Payment Information. If you choose to pay for an appointment online, your payment is processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd ("Stripe"). Stripe collects your name, email address, phone number and card details to process the payment. We do not receive or store your full card details. We receive confirmation of your payment, your name and contact details, and any appointment information you provide on the payment form.
Clinical Information. If you become a patient, we will collect information about your health and medical history as part of your consultation and treatment. This is held in your confidential patient record and is never collected through the Site or the online payment form.
How we use your personal information
- To arrange, confirm, change or cancel your appointments and to respond to your enquiries.
- To take payment for appointments and to issue receipts and refunds.
- To provide safe and appropriate chiropractic care and other treatments.
- To keep accurate financial and clinical records, as required by law and by our professional regulators.
- To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. If this changes, we will update this policy and only contact you where you have agreed to it.
Our lawful basis for using your information
- Contract: we use your contact and payment information because it is necessary to arrange and provide the care you have booked.
- Legal obligation: we keep financial and clinical records to meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
- Health care: we process information about your health because it is necessary for providing health care and treatment, under the supervision of registered health professionals who are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
- Legitimate interests: we use Device Information in our legitimate interest of running, securing and improving the Site.

We only share your personal information where it is necessary for the purposes above:

We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep your information
- Payment records are kept for 6 years to meet HMRC requirements.
- Clinical records are kept in line with guidance from the General Chiropractic Council and other relevant professional bodies.
- General enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information;
- ask for a copy of your information in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concerns first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.
Do Not Track
We do not change the Site's data collection practices when we detect a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
